A person reads every report. Corrections are made by hand, to the data — titles, dates, names, which pages belong together — never to the scans, and they can take a while to appear.

I have many trips over the past few years trying to find the way back to the site. This has cost me several thousands of dollars. In Aug '97, my father (deceased) & I flew to Washington at a cost of $2000.00 for purpose of the recovery. That trip & all the others can be confirmed by calling [REDACTED b6/b7C] in New Jersey. PHONE # [REDACTED b6/b7C] FAX [REDACTED b6/b7C]
For this trip, I will once again have to [guess: quit] my job & [guess: fly] b7C out dollars for the trip & lodging expenses. I [guess: work] at a [REDACTED] in a casino with casino position, [guess: promotions] [guess: possibilities]. [guess: Since] they will not [guess: retire], that will be best - I have the money for the trip [guess: but] my funds will last only so long. I will be at your disposal when I arrive. At the same time I would like to proceed with all dispatch with the recovery trip. Another factor is the weather. June should be our best time to go.

Sincerely, [guess: Yours] [REDACTED b6/b7C]

SUBJECT: RECOVERY OF THE SKYJACKED MONEY IN THE "DB COOPER" CASE - LATE NOV '71

Confirming our phone conversation of 5-25-00, I will leave Las Vegas on 6-14 by bus arriving in the early morning hours of Friday, 6-16. I will call you on 6-16 to arrange a meeting with the FBI at your local office to schedule our trip into the mountains for the recovery. Once I'm to the location it will [be] unearthed within 15 minutes.
I will honor your request to not advise the local press until after the trip or at your advice.
My requests are simple and I believe quite reasonable: (1) Transportation into the mountains (1 to 2 Hours) (2) A written statement from the FBI assuring me of immunity from prosecution (3) A written statement that I will be allowed to make a movie camera account of the recovery. An advisor/agent will be coming with me to Seattle. He [can't] record the events on camera. If this can't be done, I will accept someone of your choice to do it. The only requirements I have is the movie is solely my property when the trip is completed.
