[REDACTED] Garden Grove, California [REDACTED]
Dear [REDACTED]
---
This will acknowledge receipt of your letter dated December 5, 1973, wherein you requested a list of serial numbers from the money paid to the hijacker of a Northwest Orient Airlines aircraft during November, 1971.
The list to which you refer contains the serial numbers from ten thousand twenty dollar bills and is quite lengthy. As the publication of this list has been limited, its distribution has been restricted to appropriate law enforcement agencies and financial institutions.
Your interest in this matter is appreciated and should any information concerning this matter come to your attention, please advise any local office of the FBI.
---
Very truly yours,
[signature]
JOE D. JAMIESON Assistant Director in Charge
