Memorandum

TO : SAC, LOS ANGELES (164-497)(P) DATE: 9/23/75

FROM : SA [REDACTED] b6 b7C

SUBJECT: NORJAK OO: Seattle

On 8/28/75 [REDACTED] Goleta, California, telephone No. [REDACTED] voluntarily appeared at the Santa Barbara Resident Agency. He furnished the following information:

His family has been acquainted for many years with a man by the name of [REDACTED] who resides in Pasadena, California. This man is best known by [REDACTED] who has lately expressed her feeling that this man could possibly be the sky-jacker known as D. B. COOPER who extorted a Northwest Airlines aircraft of a large sum of money in 1971.

[REDACTED] refuses to talk to the FBI about her feeling and she does not know that [REDACTED] has furnished this information to the FBI.

She has expressed her feeling that [REDACTED] could be D. B. COOPER because he was a skydiver at one time and because he seems to have a lot more money than he should. Also, he seems to take a lot of trips to Mexico, where [REDACTED] theorizes he could have the money hidden.

[REDACTED] claims to have inherited a [REDACTED] in Pasadena (possibly the [REDACTED]) and to have received an inheritance from an uncle or his father, but [REDACTED] is suspicious of the fact that he seems to have too much money and he recently bought a large motor home and takes a lot of trips to Mexico.

[REDACTED] advised he does not know [REDACTED] as well as [REDACTED] but believes that he has never been in trouble with the law, does not smoke or use drugs and is a member of a Christian Scientist Church. He is married, having gotten married prior to 1965, and he has two children. He recalls hearing that [REDACTED] was running around with another woman within the past three years. [REDACTED] described [REDACTED] as follows: 161-4/57- [guess: 824]
