Re memo of SA [REDACTED] dated 2/17/76.
[REDACTED] Renco Corporation, 26 Coromar Drive, Goleta, California, furnished the following information:
Portland, Oregon, [REDACTED] is the [REDACTED] [REDACTED] same address, telephone number [REDACTED] [REDACTED] is a long time friend of a [REDACTED] which is located near Longview, Washington. [REDACTED] is actually located on a small dirt strip about [REDACTED] miles from Longview.
Last December, a few days either before or after Christmas, [REDACTED] accompanied [REDACTED] on a trip to [REDACTED] The purpose of the trip was to determine what had happened to an airplane that belonged to [REDACTED] that had been left at [REDACTED] for repairs. After arriving at the [REDACTED] strip, they determined that the aircraft had been allowed to sit unattended for a long period of time and had deteriorated badly. [REDACTED] was very upset about the condition of his airplane and they discussed the matter with [REDACTED] [REDACTED] is supposedly [REDACTED] the airport. They came to an agreement about what was to be done about the airplane, but [REDACTED] was still pretty upset about the condition of his plane.
After they departed Longview, Washington, [REDACTED] [REDACTED] told [REDACTED] the following story:

He advised that [REDACTED] owns quite a bit of land in the vicinity of his airport and his property includes a [REDACTED] was at one time a pretty sound [REDACTED] but was managed poorly and during the past few years there have been approximately [REDACTED] which have been blamed directly on poor maintenance procedures at the [REDACTED]. There are a [REDACTED] [REDACTED] incidents and the [REDACTED] has been all but wiped out. The [REDACTED] has been closed any there are practically [REDACTED] at the present time.
As a result of all the problems, [REDACTED] father is really under the gun financially. A part of his efforts [REDACTED] was to make his son, [REDACTED]
[REDACTED] further confided that he has a theory that Mr. D.B. COOPER is [REDACTED]
[REDACTED] furnished this information to [REDACTED] at a time when he was quite angry with the [REDACTED] would be very upset if he found out that [REDACTED] furnished this information to the FBI, and therefore [REDACTED] requests that the source of this information not be made known to [REDACTED]
[REDACTED] further advised that he has personally known [REDACTED] for a number of years, but does not know him well. He stated that [REDACTED] is currently [REDACTED] for Northwest Orient Air Lines and m[guess: ay] have been employed as [REDACTED] with this air lines for the past seven or eight years. He also knows that [REDACTED] is a parachute jumper and he has heard that [REDACTED] has been in trouble with the law in the past. He advised that he does not know where [REDACTED] currently resides, but thinks he probably [REDACTED] out of Seattle, Washington.

[REDACTED] advised that he has no objection if the FBI contacts [REDACTED] but desires that source of this information not be furnished to [REDACTED]. He stated [REDACTED] is a strange duck and would probably would never speak to him again if he knew that [REDACTED] furnished this information to the FBI.

[REDACTED] observed two color composites of D.B. COOPER, and advised that he does not believe these two photographs look like [REDACTED]. He stated there is a vage resemblance, but that the hair is quite different. He advised; however, that he does not know [REDACTED] well and that since [REDACTED] stated he believes [REDACTED] is the skyjacker, the composites should be shown to [REDACTED]
