Re memo of SA [REDACTED] dated 5/14/76.

---

On June 9, 1976, [REDACTED], Bellingham Harold, Box 1277, Bellingham, Washington, 98225, telephone (206) 734-3900, after consulting with the newspaper's publisher, [REDACTED], advised this newspaper will participate in a publicity venture as set forth in referenced memo. He advised he would print the article and ransom bills serial numbers on a one time basis in a Sunday edition, which has the largest distribution.

[REDACTED] advised the paper along with many others utilized an electronic scanner system which can set the type automatically and in order to do this the text must be typed with a Selectric typewriter with a Courier 12 ball. He advised the letter could be double spaced, but this is not necessary for the scanner.

A newspaper, which is familiar to the writer, and which is not a major newspaper, but is certainly one which should be contacted regarding the publicity venture is the Western Flyer. It is published by [REDACTED], Tacoma, Washington, [REDACTED], telephone [REDACTED], Tacoma, Washington. Leads to contact this publication being left to the discretion of case Agent as may have already been contacted.
