RE: MISCELLANEOUS PERSONS SUB J

On October 16, 1972, ex-U. S. Army Colonel BILL STRATTON, home phone EA 2-5150, advised telephonically that he thinks informing hunters of the reward and possible location of the D. B. COOPER ransom money is a good idea. STRATTON advised his friends have sometimes accused him of being COOPER. STRATTON stated he is an ex-airlines pilot and a former graduate of the U. S. Military Academy in the class of 1936. STRATTON stated he is presently working with the Horizon, Inc., land developers.

The above information is being furnished for reference only, and STRATTON is not seriously being considered as a suspect in this case. It is possible that STRATTON may need psychiatric care.

ARMED AND DANGEROUS.
