Re San Francisco airtel to Los Angeles dated 6/8/72.

Re: Alleged Source [REDACTED]

On 6/12/72, it was ascertained from a [REDACTED], [REDACTED], California, that [REDACTED] [REDACTED], was on a fishing trip and not scheduled to return to Los Angeles for three or four days. [REDACTED] advised [REDACTED] had [REDACTED] Flight Safety, Inc., Long Beach Municipal Airport, Long Beach, California.

On the same date, [REDACTED], [REDACTED] Flight Safety, Inc., Long Beach, advised he knows [REDACTED] both [REDACTED] Flight Safety, Inc., and socially. He stated that [REDACTED], although apparently of fine reputation and character, is very prone to exaggerate and tells some rather [REDACTED] stated statements made by [REDACTED] while engaged in social conversation should be taken with "a grain of salt".

He continued stating that if [REDACTED] had any information at all concerning a hijacking matter he feels he would cooperate fully with the FBI. He added that if [REDACTED] had any pertinent information he feels it would also have been discussed with him as he and [REDACTED] on several occasions have [REDACTED] added that if [REDACTED] should indicate during any conversation with him that he has any pertinent knowledge he would immediately contact the Los Angeles Division of the FBI.
