What does the scan show?
A person reads every report. Corrections are made by hand, to the data — titles, dates, names, which pages belong together — never to the scans, and they can take a while to appear.

RE: RANSOM MONEY
On 3/15/72 the Seattle Police Department advised that they had received an anonymous call that two $20 bills had been passed, apparently that evening, [REDACTED] [REDACTED].
On 3/15/72 [REDACTED] [REDACTED], when advised of the above information stated that to his knowledge no such money had been passed and readily made available from his cash registers and his safe, the only $20 bills he had in his establishment. There were four in number and a check of these against the ransom list reflected none to be identical.
[REDACTED] also stated that he knew of no one from [REDACTED] who might have made such a call and neither he nor the people working [REDACTED], observed anyone using the pay phone [REDACTED] to make such a call.
