[REDACTED] also known as [REDACTED] was reinterviewed at his residence located at [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Seabeck, Washington, by Special Agents [REDACTED]
[REDACTED] was informed that [REDACTED] was interviewed at length on the night of April 22 and that the story he tells is at variance and has several inconsistencies with [REDACTED] story.
[REDACTED] admitted that what [REDACTED] states as to his calling [REDACTED] on the telephone at his residence around Christmas, 1971, and inviting he and his family over for a social evening is true. He also states sometime later he also called [REDACTED] to pick him up at the ferry dock in Seattle in order for [REDACTED] to take him to S. L. Savidge Automobile Company where he was going to obtain a title on a pickup truck and camper and that this story as related by [REDACTED] is also correct. [REDACTED] stated on this particular day after he had picked up the title of this pickup and camper he and [REDACTED] looked for auto parts which essentially was two fenders for his Toronado which would cost approximately $900 and because this was too expensive, he did not purchase the fenders and the rest of the evening he and [REDACTED] spent drinking at the Edgewater Inn in Seattle. [REDACTED] was then informed that according to [REDACTED] he had never been in the paratroopers in the U.S. Army and had never had parachute training and had also not been out of the country. Then [REDACTED] admitted he might have called [REDACTED] late one night, but denied that he had requested that [REDACTED] furnish him a [REDACTED] as he had [REDACTED] of his own. He was then asked even though this was so, did he make a request of [REDACTED] to [REDACTED] at the Edgewater Inn. [REDACTED] then stated that he had never registered under an assumed name at the Edgewater Inn or anywhere else and that if he had wanted a [REDACTED] he would have requested one from the desk of the Edgewater Inn. When it was pointed out to [REDACTED] that this is exactly what [REDACTED] stated he had told [REDACTED] to request a [REDACTED] from the desk; [REDACTED]

then explained that if he had made such a call it was because he was "smashed."
[REDACTED] was then exhibited a photograph of a white male dressed in a sweater and tie with dark sunglasses standing at the corner of 5th and Pacific in Bremerton, Washington, and asked if he knew this individual. [REDACTED] upon observing this photograph stated that this picture was not of him and it was not of his father and it was not of his brother. He further stated that he did not know this individual and maintained that he did not introduce[REDACTED] [REDACTED] to this man in the photograph or to anyone else and that he did not introduce anyone to the man in this photograph.
[REDACTED] then stated the only time he saw [REDACTED] [REDACTED] was on Friday, during the latter part of February, exact date not recalled and that he was interviewed at length by [REDACTED] for personal background information and after a detailed and lengthy interview they ended up having dinner along with [REDACTED] at the Windjammer Restaurant in Seattle. At this point in the interview [REDACTED] was interrupted by his wife who momentarily came into the kitchen where the interview was being conducted, and she stated that they saw [REDACTED] on a Monday instead of a Friday. [REDACTED] then said this may have been so. At this point [REDACTED] was asked if [REDACTED] had paid him any money whatsoever and [REDACTED] advised that [REDACTED] had paid him [REDACTED] in cash for expenses incurred for this story and that this occurred on the day that he and his wife had dinner with [REDACTED] and that he had given [REDACTED] a [REDACTED] for this [REDACTED] payment. [REDACTED] then admitted telephoning [REDACTED] a number of times at the Edgewater Inn in Seattle after their interview which was on a Monday, but maintained that he never got in touch with [REDACTED]. He then explained that if any of the telephone calls he made to the Edgewater Inn on the day following his interview by [REDACTED] were over three minutes in length, it was because he had [REDACTED] paged. He further stated that the reason he called [REDACTED] was to see if [REDACTED] was going to [REDACTED] and if and when he was going to meet the first down payment of [REDACTED].

[REDACTED] then stated he subsequently called [REDACTED] b6 [REDACTED] again at his home in California and asked him if he b7C thought he had the right guy. According to [REDACTED] [REDACTED] was enthusiastic and stated he thought [REDACTED] had the right guy, but did not know where he was going to get the [REDACTED] to pay [REDACTED].
[REDACTED] then stated he received [REDACTED] through b6 [REDACTED] bases on his b7C theory of the November 24, 1971 airplane hijacking and if that is a federal crime then he is guilty since [REDACTED] makes it grand larceny. He then stated [REDACTED] [REDACTED] He further stated that he had a lot of work, research and travel all over the country, incurring this expense in regard to this story. He then suggested that the FBI talk to [REDACTED] (phonetic) of the "Bremerton Sun" since he also talked to her [REDACTED]. He reiterated this suggestion several times during the interview and then also suggested that [REDACTED] the airplane stewardess be shown the purported picture of the hijacker to determine whether it is actually the individual.
[REDACTED] then voluntarily submitted to being photographed b6 only after losing his temper and stated that he was fed up with b7C the entire interview and the the Agents were trespassing and that he could get his gun and shoot them. He was calmed down and subsequently photographed and advised that everyone's story would be checked out thoroughly for accuracy and proof.
The interview was then terminated and at this point [REDACTED] advised that he had one brother, [REDACTED] b6 years of age. He works as a [REDACTED] and lives with his b7C parents.
