What does the scan show?
A person reads every report. Corrections are made by hand, to the data — titles, dates, names, which pages belong together — never to the scans, and they can take a while to appear.

7-1b REPORT of the FBI LABORATORY
FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION WASHINGTON, D. C. 20535
To: SAC, Portland (164-41) Date: May 3, 1972 Re: NORJAK FBI File No. 164-2111 Lab. No. D-730428050 LL

Specimens received 4/27/72
Q44 Envelope postmarked "THE DALLES, OR 97058 MAR 23 PM 1972," bearing typewritten address "sherrif criminal dept. ct. house The Dalles. oregon 97058"
Q45 Sheet of paper bearing cut-out letters with message beginning "you will never find..."
Result of examination:
No indented writing or watermarks were found on Q44 and Q45.
The typewriting on Q44 is too limited to classify.
It was not determined whether there is any connection between Q44, Q45 and the specimens submitted previously in this case, because of a lack of identifying features of the Q44 and Q45 material.
The submitted evidence was photographed and will be returned separately.
