A person reads every report. Corrections are made by hand, to the data — titles, dates, names, which pages belong together — never to the scans, and they can take a while to appear.

AIRTEL AIRMAIL

TO: SAC, SEATTLE (164-81) FROM: SAC, PORTLAND (164-41) (P) SUBJECT: NORJAK

Re Portland teletype to Omaha and Seattle, 12/8/71.

Enclosed for Seattle are 38 copies of applications for insurance which were obtained at the Portland International Airport (PIA).

[REDACTED] Northwest Airlines, PIA, advised on 12/9/71, that about 126 flights leave PIA each day.

The enclosed insurance applications do not indicate a flight number or the name of the airline, and it is not possible to determine from the application itself what flight the passenger took. TERRITORY Portland will check the applications of those individuals residing in the Portland area through the current directories to determine their occupation and verify addresses shown on the applications.

If additional investigation of the applicants is believed warranted, Seattle will advise Portland.
