[REDACTED] advised he is [REDACTED] with Northwest Airlines. He related the following story to [REDACTED] at NWA, and [REDACTED] advised that he relate it to the FBI.

He said he knows of a man who used to work as [REDACTED] for NWA who may be D. B. COOPER. The man is [REDACTED] and he was always based in Seattle and probably still lives there. [REDACTED] saw him a few days ago [REDACTED] in the Hyatt House near the airport in Seattle. He was "in the sauce" at the time. Employees of the Hyatt House said he hangs around there every night. [REDACTED] talked with him a bit and asked him what he was doing. [REDACTED] said he was not doing anything and thought he would go to Portland. When he left he got into a 1975 blue Continental. [REDACTED] said he had no visible means of support.

[REDACTED] did not at first recognize [REDACTED]. He said [REDACTED] left NWA [REDACTED] however he could not remember when this was. He does not know if [REDACTED] was fired or left for his own reasons. [REDACTED] himself was based in Seattle from [REDACTED] and knew [REDACTED] at that time. He said five years ago [REDACTED] would have fit the description of COOPER because he was thin, dark, and always had a thin-line mustache. [REDACTED] looks quite different now, principally because he has put on quite a bit of weight. He said he is dark, Mexican-looking, heavy black beard, 40 to 45 years old, 5' 10" to 6', dark hair, dark eyes. He said [REDACTED] knows enough about the company that he would have been able to pull it off and he always had larceny in his heart. NWA may have a picture of the man.
