What does the scan show?
A person reads every report. Corrections are made by hand, to the data — titles, dates, names, which pages belong together — never to the scans, and they can take a while to appear.

[redacted] turday, Dec. 4 Man with clear voice calls Oregonian city desk and gives following information in this order
NOTE
[redacted], Sun Valley, Calif. [redacted], Oakland, Calif. [redacted]
These are men who got the $200,000 hijacked plane. They will be at one of the above addresses.
[redacted] in Sun Valley [redacted] in Oakland
I can't tell you any more because my life isn't worth it. [redacted] When these are arrested, I'll call you back for the reward.
(Told we had no knowledge of a reward offered, he replied, "I know there is one.")
Asked where he got this information, he replied, "[redacted]"
Didn't sound like a nut, or high or drunk. Trifle excited. Started conversation by asking whether I was reporter, given [redacted], asked my name which I gave, [redacted] then asked me[redacted] if I had a pencil, told me to take "this down". When I declined to do anything until I knew what it was about, he asked,
"How would you like to know about a hijacked plane?"
So I took notes. As soon as he hung up I typed this out. Vss
