F. 3. I. Portland, Oregon
Dear Friends: Ihope you don't get mad at me if I write you one more letter and sort of summarize the case of the $200,000. hijack in the sky. I see that he hasn't been found yet and naturally it is an interesting case. I guess I have written you five or six letters about it and guess I had better quit it or you will be after me, but I am only trying to crack the case. I was thinking tonite or today if that man was real intelligent or if he was kind of dumb. If he was dumb he might have stayed in the plane for an hour and a half and endured the cold and kind of got caught like a rat in the trap, not anticipating the extreme cold in the plane. I kind of think he was dumb, because it looks to me if he had of been planning such a caper he would have dressed in very warm clothing and it looks to me that it was a sort of spur of the moment like a drunk would think up, because I don't think he was dressed very warm according to what he was wearing and what I read in the papers. If he was intelligent then, he was all prepared to bail out of the plane, before he got very cold. I would say that would be in less than 25 minutes. If this is true then, he would be familiar with the seattle area and get out of the plane and know right where to go in a hurry. I would say that he probably lived or worked near the area where he got out. The other day when I wrote a letter to you I thot you were right about the Woodland, area and then I got to thinking it might be the Seattle, Tacoma area, not far from the airport. He got out quick if he was smart, but if he stayed too long he was dumb and probably practically froze to death. I kind of go for the idea, that he came out near the Seattle area. I figure he lives in a small town like Enumclaw or Puyallup. I noticed on the map there is a college of forestry below the airport. This is La G ande and Alder, [guess: Wash]. Wouldn't it be funny if he was a professor in this college and he taught smoke jumping. I think this is a lead. All the pictures of the teachers in the school should be showed to the stewardess on the ill fated plane. Annyone that had quit recently would also be a suspect. It might be that he works around one of those little towns and knew his way around. The spirit that I told you I get occasionally told me that he made a phone call. It could have been before he went up or after he came down. The spirit said, he called a[illegible]. That means he either called his wife, his girl friend or his relatives, perhaps a sister. She could have come and picked him up near where he came down and they might have taken the chutes home with them and burned them in the furnace and destroyed the evidence. The spirit has blasted me with different words and if you put them all together they make sense like a giant jig saw puzzle. The first day of the caper, I remember the word-Ford and I thought spring was another one. Today the word ferry came thru and about eight times it said he is in a seater- he is in a seater. Would that mean he fell in a tree? and is there dead like he was sitting in a tree? It said over a fair. Game over a fair. Fair could mean fair grounds at Puyallup or at Multonomah north of Portland or at Kelso, like the convention [illegible] or some kind of place like a park where people are congregating like a historic site. There is even a town called Fairview [illegible] from the Columbia or Willamette. The phrase near a fair over a [illegible]-[guess: cape] thru me many times now in the last few days. I like to think of the Puyallup Fair at Puyallup. Perhaps he lives near here or works there or did go there or come down near it. The word Ford might mean that he owns a ford car, but the word car came thru me too. Maybe he works [illegible] a Ford dealership or Ford garage near where he came down in one of these small towns near the airport. There was also the word college.
FAIRVIEW MIGHT BE GOOD LEAD.

The word college made m[illegible] think of that college of f[illegible]esty after I had seen it on the map and wondered if he had any connection with it. What do you think? Two or three things stand out then. If he were smart he bailed out quickly and knew just what he was doing and got home in no time, because he probably lived around there. I don't personally think he was smart at all and probably had never been down in a parachute at all. I think he is dead someplace, but it is sure funny that the chutes have not showed up and neither has he. There are a lot of people out looking for him. What the spirit told me then is 'he is in a seater' He could be in a swivel chair, in a plane seat heading for another country, in a car going to east coast. I will see now in the next day or two if the spirit still persists in saying-he is in a seater. If this be true then I think he is dead in a tree or dead in a bleachers at a fairgrounds where he hit when he came down, but I have another great idea about it too. The fact of the matter is the spirit keeps saying and especially Dec 3- he is in a seater several times and 'he came down over a fair' near a fair came thru several times--The word car and the word Ford came thru several times. He dialed or called a [redacted] and something about a store or drugstore b6 where he called. Since this word car and Ford began to bug me lately b7C then I think I stumbled on another lead. This is really a kick in the pants and wait until you see it and hear about it. The day before the caper the spirit had talked th[illegible] me about a spring, but I thot it was the spring in my heater that is on the bum and it also said something about a field. I have a swell map of Oregon and I was looking at it and guess what I saw. Boy is this deduction. Take a look at the city map of Springfield, Oregon. I never saw anything like it. It looks like a car or a Ford and it even has a seat in it where the Mckenzie River and Mohawk rivers cut into the city center. It looks like a seat in a car and the whole town, the way it is layed out looks like a Ford or a car. Right north of the seat where the seat is you will see on the map a park called Armitage state park. This could mean the fair- the seat and the car. Isn't that the cats? I imagine the area nnorth of the seat is wooded. It sure is worth a try and I consider it a good lead. I don't know if the plane path went thru Springfield or not. Maybe it went close to it -better check this very important clue. If he waited this long to bail out and didn't have heavy clothing on then I would say he was a dumbell and was probably so cold and frozen that he couldn't even pull the chute string and he is a corpse laying down there someplace. There is another angle to this case, too. People today are not nice like they were in the twenties and thirties as a rule and if anybody has found the corpse and the money the chances are that they would keep the money and never report it. There may be a few honest people left however. Ihope you have the money marked with ultra- violet for black light. If the Cooper guy is smart and really lives in Seattle area in a small town and has the money HE will probably cash some of it in the Seattle city center and not in his small town. A little at a time, or take a plane out of the country. I think he is a crackpot myself and I arrive at my decision thru the light clothes he was wearing and it just might be he is a corpse near Springfield, Oregon right now.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Yesterday the spirit talked thru me and said paris a couple or three b6 times and I started looking for a french name like Rainier, W[illegible]sh. b7C because Prince Rainier of Monaco has a principality near France, but it proved to be another hijack at Paris. It also said sewers a couple of times and I thot maybe the man landed near Seattle and hid the chutes in a culvert or drainage ditch, but it rained down her and hence the word sewers meant the coming rain would probably flood some sewers.
