Two white males, one male in his [REDACTED] had approached him in the drug department in Fred Meyer on December 1, 1971, and ordered a medical prescription. Inasmuch as [REDACTED] had never previously filled a pre- scription for this person who furnished identification in the name of [REDACTED], he called a [REDACTED] Her- miston, Oregon, telephone [REDACTED], to verify [REDACTED] true identity and the prescription he made requisition for.

As he had read recent accounts of a hijacker obtaining $200,000, he viewed with suspicion the fact that [REDACTED] would make payment for his prescription with a $100 bill and also thought it was suspicious that he would be carrying three or four hundred dollars cash. At this time, he and two other employees of the store, [REDACTED], thought that [REDACTED] faintly resembled the composite picture of the hijacker that they had observed in the newspapers. As a result of this, he decided that it would be appropriate for him to contact the FBI, Portland, and furnish them informa- tion of the transaction by [REDACTED] at Fred Meyer.

---

He described [REDACTED] as being a white, male, height 6'1", having a full head of hair, dark brown in color. He thought his weight to be 180 - 190 pounds and described him as being stocky and muscular in build. He was not wearing eye glasses but he could not recall noting the color of [REDACTED] eyes. He appeared to [REDACTED] to be perhaps [REDACTED].

---

[REDACTED] recalled the person being with [REDACTED] as fitting [REDACTED] same general description as to hair, height, and build, except he thought his age to be in [REDACTED].

---

Upon viewing an artist's conception of the unknown subject hijacker, [REDACTED] advised that [REDACTED] was not identifiable with the unknown subject. He noted that [REDACTED] and he further noted that [REDACTED] in appearance and would appear to be much more [REDACTED] than the unknown subject appeared to be in the composite."

---

She had been present on [REDACTED] when [REDACTED] had returned for his medical pre- scription. She could recall [REDACTED] in particular because he had paid for his prescription with a $100 bill and she also had noted two or three $100 bills in [REDACTED] possession at the time he paid for his bill.

---

She had recently viewed a composite photograph of the unknown subject hijacker in the paper and [REDACTED] did not remind her in any manner of the unknown subject. Her attention was called to [REDACTED] by [REDACTED], [REDACTED] who was suspicious as [REDACTED] made payment for his prescription in a bill of a large denomination.

She also recalled that both [REDACTED] and his companion, whom she described as being a white, male in his [REDACTED], 5'9" - 10" in height, weight approximately 185 pounds, as both being fair complected and both having [REDACTED] [REDACTED].

---

Upon viewing the artist's conception composite of unknown subject hijacker, she stated that the unknown sub- ject did not resemble [REDACTED] in any way noting that [REDACTED] appeared to be much larger in frame and build than the hijacker as depicted by composite picture. She thereafter noted that [REDACTED] had a [REDACTED] than the unknown subject and had [REDACTED] than did the unknown subject.
