RE: PETER A. PARLO

---

Remytel to Phoenix, 12/21/71; Phoenix teletype to Seattle and Buffalo, dated 12/22/71 and Buffalo airtel to Seattle, 12/22/71.

Referenced Buffalo airtel to Seattle, 12/22/71, enclosed color photographs of PARLO taken at the time of his interview on 12/21/71 and Phoenix communication advised that inasmuch as motel records reflect PARLO was registered in a Phoenix area motel during the pertinent period, no further investigation concerning him was being conducted.

Although Phoenix has determined one PETER A. PARLO was registered at the Motel 6 and the Carefree Inn during the pertinent period, because of the inability of PARLO to furnish the identities of any persons who might be able to verify positively his exact whereabouts on the evening of 12/24/71, and the fact that certain aspects of his account of his where- abouts during his two-month absence from the Elmira, N. Y. area are suspect, it is suggested that the Office of Origin cause display of the recently taken photographs to witnesses in this matter.

It is to be noted that PARLO very closely fits the available physical description of the Unsub with the exception of his natural hair coloring, and in the event witnesses are not able to positively eliminate him, the OO may desire that further investigation be conducted by the Phoenix Division in an effort to verify PARLO's presence in the Phoenix area during the pertinent period.
