A person reads every report. Corrections are made by hand, to the data — titles, dates, names, which pages belong together — never to the scans, and they can take a while to appear.

SAC, PORTLAND (164-41)(P)

NORJAK

---

Enclosed herewith for the Laboratory are a letter and envelope dated 3/28/72, and postmarked Jacksonville, Fla. Xerox copies of both enclosures are enclosed herewith for Seattle.

Enclosures were received by the Portland "Oregonian," daily newspaper, and were turned over by the editor for any purpose necessary.

REQUEST OF THE BUREAU, FBI LABORATORY

The Laboratory is requested to process enclosures for latent fingerprint impressions and to determine whatever information can be gleaned from the typing and stationery.

Upon conclusion of the requested examination, enclosures should be retained by the Laboratory if desired, or they may be returned to Portland for maintenance in the exhibit section of the Portland file. Seattle should also be advised of results.
