On 12/1/72, [REDACTED] [REDACTED], telephone [REDACTED] Salem, Oregon, advised he had been employed in the Kelso, Washington, area approximately two years ago when he had overheard a conversation which might shed some light on the D. B. COOPER hijacking.

Approximately one year before the actual hijacking, he had been in the Six-Pack Bar in Kelso, Washington, when he overheard a conversation involving several individuals at an adjoining table. The only person he recognized was [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Kelso, Washington. He knew this individual to be a pilot and sky jumper who spent a great deal of time flying to points outside the Continental United States. The conversation concerned a hypothetical robbery in which this person said he could make a get away in a type air liner from which he could jump. He indicated he would have 14 or 15 hours head start because he is so often out of the country. The entire conversation was very similar to the actual hijacking.

[REDACTED] could not recall this person's name, but said [REDACTED] and he closely resembles the composite drawing of COOPER, except he has slightly larger cheeks.
