[REDACTED] He was interviewed in the presence of Captain [REDACTED] of the Southfield Police Department. He advised that he met a man named WILBERT PARKER approximately [REDACTED] ago. He stated that he sees PARKER quite frequently in the bars in and around Garden City, Michigan, and most particularly at [REDACTED]
[REDACTED] He advised that sometime [REDACTED]
WILBERT PARKER, also known as Bill. The conversation got around to a newspaper article regarding "D.B. COOPER" who had escaped with approximately $200,000.00 after an airplane hijacking out in the Seattle, Washington, Portland, Oregon, area. [REDACTED] BILL had been drinking a considerable amount and BILL said "You're less than three feet away from D.B. COOPER right now". He asked BILL what he meant and BILL produced a newspaper clipping regarding the hijacking which contained a sketch or artist's conception of "D.B. COOPER". [REDACTED] advised that the sketch bore a marked resemblance to BILL. At this point, artist's conceptions, in color, were shown to [REDACTED] He stated that the artist's conception in which the hijacker is depicted wearing sunglasses looks a great deal like BILL PARKER.
PARKER had frequently gotten into arguments with others in the bar regarding military operations. PARKER claimed to be with the United States Special Forces, claimed to be an Airborne Ranger, and claimed to be with the Green Berets. [REDACTED] advised that one day BILL came into the bar in full uniform and was wearing a Green Beret uniform. He did not notice the rank insignia on PARKER's uniform, but PARKER has frequently indicated that he is a "Warrant Officer" in the Green Berets. He is
frequently called "The Colonel" around the bars.

Sometime during the summer of 1980, PARKER departed and was gone for a week or more. He indicated he was up at Camp McCoy in Wisconsin. PARKER alleges that he was involved in the controling of the Detroit riots in 1967.

PARKER dates various women, but one of the women is a woman [REDACTED] possibly called [REDACTED]. He has indicated to [REDACTED] that he desires to buy all the Canadian money [REDACTED].

PARKER has [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. He advised that PARKER lives at 7091 Hubbard Street, Garden City, Michigan. He further described PARKER as a white male, approximately 6'2" tall, 200 in weight, with brown eyes and dark brown or black hair which is always neatly cut. He indicated that PARKER has always dressed neatly, always has a spit polish shine to his shoes or boots, and frequently wears paratrooper boots.

PARKER has talked in the past about "dough" that he has buried up north, that he belongs to a select group who are prepared for some kind of revolution, and that he has approximately 500,000 rounds of ammunition also buried. PARKER is very conversant regarding weapons particularly military weapons and frequently talks about the ballistics of these weapons. He makes his own ammunition at his house. [REDACTED] has on occasion seen him wear a field jacket which has "U.S. Military Special Forces" across the jacket. [REDACTED] advised that he believes PARKER is an electrician at the Hydromatic Transmission Plant at Willow Run.

Sometime ago PARKER was in an accident in which he hit another car. [REDACTED] [REDACTED]

In regard to the actual hijacking, he has only talked with PARKER about this on a few occasion and those only when PARKER brings it up, but PARKER has said that there were two pursuit jets and that he, PARKER, had the airliner drop down to a low altitude which was too low for these jets and have the airliner slow down to where the jets were constantly passing by the airliner and therefore, could not keep a close watch. PARKER has indicated that he was in the Air Force, and the Marine Corps and has on one occasion produced a multi-engine pilot's license. PARKER indicated that he [REDACTED] [REDACTED] in Detroit, Michigan. [REDACTED] advised that he continues to see PARKER at the bars particularly at [REDACTED] and that he is usually there[REDACTED]

He described PARKER as being "stone face" or a very cold and calculating individual. He does not feel that PARKER is mentally unbalanced and does not know what to make of PARKER's claim that he is D.B. COOPER. He indicated that if PARKER is in fact a paratrooper and was a parachute rigger as PARKER claims, he, [REDACTED], feels that some consideration must be given to PARKER in this case as he bears a strong resemblance to the individual depicted in the artist's conception.
