So I would then be backed up in a corner. When I was backed in a corner, I had to get out. I got out the easiest way for myself so someone always got hurt. I never wanted to hurt anyone but I did. I never realized that I had been hurt too and would have to pay some day, maybe I'm not through paying, but what ever I have coming I'll take it like a man.
You know this last wife of mine gave me as bad a deal in life as I gave [REDACTED] I tried to give to her everything that I hadn't given [REDACTED] Bought a home, had two cars, lived in a real nice part of town. And had all new furniture. Now I'm back to nothing, also had one of the finest [REDACTED] in the world. So now a [guess: beautiful] again. [REDACTED] I will try and get some pictures for you. You remember how much I use to draw? For almost all my life I wanted to be an artist. I was well on my way until a year and a half ago. I have painted over one hundred oil paintings. I have met of actors and awards. I have sold 64 of them. I have given the rest away.
Now I don't know if I will be able to paint that good again. I was driving a big logging truck in the mountains and I had an accident. I've had my right wrist and arm in a cast ever since, last month I had my third operation. I will probably need one more and then I will never be able to move my wrist again. So that may really hinder my painting.

other than that I am fine, 6'2" and a 195 lbs, also going bald [guess: quite] fast. So I don't have that young look any more, losing my hair in the same places Grandpa Charlie did. That doesn't bother me cause I loved Grandpa all my life. I always felt real close to him and Grandma. Grand me [guess: doesnt] look a day older on the picture. Please say hello to her and [REDACTED] when you see or write to them. Tell Grandma I'm sorry I know I've hurt her too. Also [REDACTED] because she was always good to me. I will write to them if they wish. I don't have their addresses.
I don't know what else to write. I hope this letter explains a few things to you. I thought it would be along time before we were in contact again. I wanted everything in much better shape before I wrote or came to see you. In a few months things may be that way. If everything goes alright I will be sending [guess: Irene] lots of money. Maybe I can make up for some of her hardships.
You take good care of yourself and take it easy. Maybe life will improve for you. If I can help in any way I will. I guess the past is past so now we must look to the future. Don't give up as I am finally getting something. My bed is still uncomfortable, but improving. Its been along time, but time cures all.
Love, Matt
I thought you would want these picture back.
