TO : SAC, SEATTLE (164-NEW) DATE: 11/25/71

FROM : ASAC PAUL R. BIBLER

SUBJECT: UNSUB; Northwest Flight 305 11/24/71 CAA - HIJACKING; EXTORTION

[REDACTED] of Minneapolis advised that Northwest Airlines had figured out by pressure changes the rate of descent, a very small area in which they felt the subject might have descended. [REDACTED] talked to [REDACTED] of Northwest Airlines on the phone. [REDACTED] said that, in looking at a road map, one reference point should be north northwest of Crawford, Washington, about four miles just west of Highway I-S. The second reference point is two miles south southwest of A[REDACTED]il, Washington. A line drawn between these two points should cover the place of descent of the Unsub. ARIEL
