SRA THOMAS MANNING later advised that Weihouser would have two "choppers" coming from Tacoma to the Woodland, Wn., airport at dawn tomorrow. Also the US Forest Service would have a small chopper there. He asked that the US Navy choppers meet them at the same airport. To reach him through the Woodland PD ask the operator for the Woodland City Hall number.
According to him a high wind was blowing at Merwin Dam last night. At about 11:30Pm there was a burglary of a grocery store located roughly 10 miles South of the dam. Survival rations were taken including beef jerky, cigarettes, gloves, etc. The person who broke in was wearing military type boots with a corregated sole.
Local lawenforcement in the area has been alerted and neighbor- hoods are being conducted starting the vicinity of this burglarized grocery.
MANNING will coordinate with Portland.
