FBI 164-81, Vault Part 10 p. 520 (DB Cooper-1760), Memo, dated 27 Nov 1971, serial SE 164-81-92 (as read from the transcript) — cooper.theunsolved.net/parts/Cooper-Part-10/pages/520
On November 26, 1971, at 2:15 p.m., I talked to
SAC MATSON regarding the air search of the area from Portland
to Eugene, Oregon, and pointed out to him that we were through
with the air search in the area in Washington, and I had
suggested to SA MANNING that he have the Bonneville Power
Administration and the Weyerhauser Helicopter Pilots contacted
to see if they would be willing to assist in the air search in
Oregon. If so, then I told him to contact SAC MATSON. SAC
MATSON advised that the weather south of Portland now is
closing in very rapidly and it did not appear feasible to con-
duct an air search now, but that they would do it at the first
opportunity.
