---

On 2/11/72, [REDACTED] provided the following in- formation.

He is acquainted with [REDACTED] since he was previously involved in business with [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Washington, area approximately one year ago and moved to [REDACTED] has not heard from him since. [REDACTED] describes [REDACTED] as an extremely hard working individual with numerous friends and states that [REDACTED] was a very honest man, not the type to have stolen from anyone.

[REDACTED] states that approximately two months ago, he and some friends were having a conversation in the [REDACTED] Washington, in which [REDACTED] was mentioned as a person who would know how to highjack an airplane. However, [REDACTED] has never heard [REDACTED] say anything which would indicate that he might do such a thing. [REDACTED] states that the conversation held at the [REDACTED] was a conversation over a few drinks by a group of friends who were partially intoxicated and that this conversa- tion can in no way indicate that [REDACTED] might have highjacked the aircraft in instant case.

Due to the above, no further leads should be set out in pursuit of [REDACTED].
