On 4/18/72, [REDACTED] was contacted at his residence by telephone in Kent, Washington. At that time, [REDACTED] advised that [REDACTED] sold him a 1964 Chevrolet pickup during the last part of November or the first part of December, 1971. [REDACTED] said that he is fairly well acquainted with [REDACTED] and knew that he had driven the pickup from North Dakota just prior and during the Thanksgiving Holiday of 1971 as [REDACTED] had advised him that he would be doing so prior to [REDACTED] going to North Dakota to pick up the vehicles. [REDACTED] said that he had told [REDACTED] that when he arrived in Seattle with the pickup truck that [REDACTED] might be interested in purchasing it. [REDACTED] said that there was no question in his mind that [REDACTED] had been to North Dakota and had arrived in Seattle shortly after Thanksgiving in 1971 after having been in North Dakota for the purpose of driving the 1964 Chevrolet pickup which [REDACTED] purchased and another pickup to Seattle from North Dakota.

In view of the fact that [REDACTED] physical description is not similar to that of the hijacker in the NORJAK hijacking and that [REDACTED] story regarding his whereabouts during the time of the hijacking appears to be credible, it is recommended that no further investiga- tion be conducted concerning [REDACTED] as the subject of the NORJAK hijacking.
