Re telcal between SA [REDACTED] SI, and SA [REDACTED] SE, 10/31/91.

For information of receiving offices, on 9/27/91, [REDACTED] ATF, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, advised that an ATF informant provided information which may be pertinent to captioned matter. It should be noted that [REDACTED] was recently assigned to the Cape Girardeau office, after spending several years as an ATF Agent in [REDACTED].

The informant is [REDACTED], white male, DOB [REDACTED]. The informant advised that [REDACTED] JOHN DEAN COOPER, SR., currently lives in Canada, and has made statements in the past that he (COOPER, SR.) left the United States several years ago with a large amount of money and that the FBI was looking for him. The informant has been to COOPER, SR.'s residence in Canada several times and provided his address [REDACTED] Dawson Creek, British Columbia, [REDACTED].

By way of background, in November, 1971, a white male, using the name D. B. COOPER, hijacked a NORTHWESTERN AIRLINES flight and parachuted from the aircraft with $200,000 over the northwestern part of Washington state.
