ASAC PAUL R. BIBLER

---
SAC JOE JAMESON called from Philadelphia.
He said a [redacted] informant [redacted] whose name is
[redacted] who has been quite reliable in
the past and a bank robbery, had given information
about this case.
[redacted] is presently in Los Angeles and out
there he met a man named [redacted] mentioned
to him he had a great assignment working for [redacted]. The
informant asked [redacted] which one it was and mentioned
two or three of them by name and finally said it was
the hijacker who jumped by parachute in Seattle. [redacted]
then said it was and that he had gone to Seattle and there,
on a certain street corner, he met a woman in a yellow dress
who introduced him to the hijacker that he had a long
conversation which he [redacted] and which
Newsweek was [redacted].
I suggested to [redacted] that in view of the
rather strange nature of this information that he set
out a teletype to the Bureau, Seattle and Los Angeles
to have Los Angeles thoroughly reinterview the informant;
to interview [redacted] and get to the bottom of it as soon
as possible. He said that they would.
