On 11/26/71 [REDACTED] Phoenix, Called. He said that an individual in Phoenix had called after hearing about the hijacking and said he saw a man driving a car with a Washington license plate [REDACTED], a 1971 or 1972 Mercury Comet, who met the description. He was swarthy complected about [REDACTED] and had long black hair.
---
I asked [REDACTED] if they had any other information to indicate that the individual seen was connected with the crime or if they knew where this person was now and he said "no".
---
I checked DMV, Olympia, and found that the above license is issued to a Mercury Comet which belongs to the First Northwestern Mortgage Co., Inc., P.O. Box 66558, Burien, Washington.
---
In the absence of anything further to indicate that there is some significance to this, it does not appear any further investigation should be conducted.
