Re: Possible Suspect NEAL SUNDBERG
---
[REDACTED], Huntington Beach, California, telephone [REDACTED] advised the composite photo- graph of the hijacker was observed in a newspaper and after some consideration, he thought the hijacker might be NEAL SUNDBERG whom he met in San Francisco approximately two years ago. [REDACTED] stated SUNDBERG looked similar to the composite drawing. He stated he and his wife visited SUNDBERG about two years ago and SUNDBERG's residence at that time was 18 Grande Paseo, San Rafael, California. At that time SUNDBERG was unemployed and anxious to earn some money.
He added that in December 1971, his wife sent a Christmas card to the San Rafael address, but the card had been forwarded to 1931 Diamond Street, Apartment 4, San Francisco, California. This card was then returned to [REDACTED] undelivered. He described SUNDBERG as a white male, age 35, 5'10",160 pounds, blond hair, and fair complexion.
He requested his wife not be contacted and requested his identity be protected.
San Francisco is requested to conduct appropriate investigation through the last known addresses of NEAL SUNDBERG to ascertain if SUNDBERG warrants consideration as a logical suspect in this matter.
