[REDACTED], Wenatchee, Wash., telephone number [REDACTED] recently telephonically this office and advised as follows:.
[REDACTED] Alaska Airlines recently mentioned to b6 him the fact that the Hijacker in this case used notes to communicate to b7C the airlines stewardess and the wording on the notes made [REDACTED] think in terms of ALVIN CELCER, as a possible suspect in this matter. He believed that CELCER was a boom operator of a KC-135, the military version of the Boeing 707 while CELCER was in the US Air Force. He has flown a fire retardent plane for the WENAIRCO, Wenatchee while fighting U.S. Forest Service Fires in the recent past. CELCER apparently leased or bought an [guess: next] old PBY aircraft from [REDACTED], an aircraft broker at Santa Monica, California or Long Beach, California, which aircraft was later found in Baltimore with heroin in it. CELCER indicated that Provo, Utah was his home. He has a friend, [REDACTED] of Nicaragua, who [REDACTED] Nicaragua. The FAA at Oklahoma City would be able to furnish data regarding his aircraft license. [REDACTED] who operates a spraying concern at [REDACTED] Kansas, [REDACTED] knows CELCER well.
On 3/1/72 [REDACTED] Chelan County Sheriff's b6 Office, Wenatchee advised that [REDACTED] is well known to the U.S. b7C Customs, Brownsville, Texas as [REDACTED] b7D [REDACTED]
The writer recalls that a few years ago he had some leads regarding CELCER or [REDACTED] name unrecalled who supposedly were [REDACTED] [REDACTED]
It is suggested that a search of this file might reveal CELCER's home address. If not FAA, Oklahoma City would probably have this infor- mation, which would enable his photo to be obtained as a possible elim- ination in this matter.
