On 7/11/72, [REDACTED] San Jose, advised that all records available to the [REDACTED] including immigration, automobile registration, driver's licenses, application for residence status and permanent residence in Costa Rica have no information identifiable with WILLARD CARLOS TWIGG.

---

On 7/12/72, [REDACTED] made available the photographs which are enclosed with this communication for Seattle stating that TWIGG had been contacted by [REDACTED] on 7/11/72, at Corilum, S.A., with the explanation that there had been an error and subsequent confusion created in Costa Rican immigrant records when TWIGG entered Costa Rica. Based on this pretext, the photographs were made. According to [REDACTED] TWIGG appeared cordial and in no way disturbed by the inquiry.

---

On 7/13/72, [REDACTED] San Jose, advised that he had received that same morning a telephone call from WILLARD CARLOS TWIGG stating that TWIGG had received telephone calls from "an attorney friend in Indiana" and a second attorney from Arizona both telling him that the FBI was inquiring about him. TWIGG indicated from his conversation that he had been told from these callers that the FBI was exploring the possibility of his connection with an airplane hijacking. [REDACTED] recalled TWIGG stating that he was 50 years of age and "too old to be jumping out of airplanes."

---

During the telephone conversation, TWIGG advised that he also had been contacted by the [REDACTED] a day or two prior to this conversation. TWIGG stated that he was eager to assist the U. S. Government in any investiga- tion they might have concerning him and gave telephone numbers in San Jose, Costa Rica, where he could be contacted in the event the FBI or other U. S. representative desired to inter- view him.

---

[REDACTED] advised that TWIGG sounded to be in good spirits and genuinely cooperative in his attitude.
