OPTIONAL FORM NO. 10 MAY 1962 EDITION GSA FPMR (41 CFR) 101-11.6 UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT Memorandum

TO : SAC, SEATTLE (164-81) (P) DATE: November 13, 1972

FROM : SA [REDACTED] b6 b7C SUBJECT: NORJAK CO: SEATTLE < RE WILLIAM CHARLES BEVAN SUB 453

---

BEVAN suggested as suspect by anonymous letter to the Seattle Post Intelligencer. The letter stated BEVAN has recently purchased a new cadillac, License Number OWR 486, a beautiful three-year-old home on Magnolia, and several other purchases.

It was determined through Department of Motor Vehicles records that License Number OWR 486 was registered to a 1967 Cadillac, owner WILLIAM BEVAN. It was learned that BEVAN was born December 22, 1935, is 5'11", and weighs 175 pounds. A copy of BEVAN's driver's license was obtained from Olympia Department of Motor Vehicles and displayed to the three Seattle witnesses who all stated BEVAN was not identical with the hijacker.

In view of the discrepancy between BEVAN's physical description and that of Unsub and because BEVAN was not identified by Seattle witnesses, BEVAN is no longer being considered a suspect in this matter.
