INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING FINGERPRINTS
If application is made by a former soldier who enlisted after 1 November 1906, fingerprints of the thumb and four fingers of the right hand to be placed in this space. Otherwise no fingerprints required.
NOTE.—To secure clear prints of fingers, press the four fingers of the right hand, which should be kept together, on a stamp pad or a printer's roller for the purpose of inking the fingers, then press the first joints of the four fingers firmly in the space provided for that purpose. The print of the thumb may be made in similar manner.
