RE SUB JAMES LEROY SENDER SUB #547

Enclosed for Seattle are three (3) copies of an FD-302 incorporating te results of the interview with suspect JAMES LEROY SENDER, as well as three different photographs of SENDER.

It is to be noted that Tampa is not aware of the basis for SENDER being designated a possible suspect in this matter, and was not in position to alleviate SENDER's concern over his name being mentioned in this criminal investigation. SENDER pointed out that he is still a member of the Inactive Reserve of the United States Army and is currently employed as a Revenue Agent by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Sarasota, Florida, and is apprehensive about his name possibly being disclosed by the FBI as being associated with a criminal investigation. Tampa is not aware of the extent of the prior investigation conducted to definitely pinpoint SENDER's location on 11/24/71, noting SENDER's statement that his name as Deputy Provost Marshal, would appear on most of the various daily reports of his former unit, the 298th Military Police Company, at Fort Stewart, Georgia, on that date.
