On 2/15/73, [REDACTED], California State Parole Office, [REDACTED] Los Angeles, California, advised the case file on JOHN LEE WHITE, FBI Number 901 737 B, reveals WHITE had "gotten very fat" during period from 5/22/71 to 9/31/71. Notes taken during a case conference in December 1971, indicated WHITE had gained 70 pounds following cancer surgery. [REDACTED] also noted the file indicates WHITE has terminal cancer. He furnished the current address of WHITE as 1509 Cabrillo Avenue, Venice, California.

On 2/26/73, JOHN LEE WHITE was contacted at his residence, 1509 Cabrillo Avenue, Venice, by SA C. ROBERT STRANGER. WHITE was noted to be 5'9" to 5'10" in height and to be very obese. WHITE stated he had gained approximately 100 pounds since early 1971. He stated he currently weighs about 280 pounds and his appearance seemed to substantiate this estimate.

In view of the fact the records of the California State Parole Office indicate WHITE was very fat during the period immediately preceding the hijacking and personal observation of WHITE did not reveal him to resemble the artist's conception, no further investigation is being conducted regarding this phase, unless advised to the contrary by Seattle.
