Enclosed for Seattle is one copy of California Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (CII) record and photograph for JOHN LEE WHITE.
On 1/12/73, LEO AVENDER, Forgery Unit, CII, Sacramento, advised he had recently seen the 12/72 issue of the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin wherein an artist's conception of UNSUB in this case appeared. Mr. AVENDER stated that JOHN LEE WHITE, born 4/10/26, bears an amazing resemblance to that artist's conception. He further advised that WHITE is a former Sergeant in the Los Angeles County SO who was suspended from that position due to involvement in narcotics.
---
Mr. AVENDER stated he had no information to suspect that WHITE might have committed instant crime and was merely bringing this to the attention of the Bureau based on facial similarity to the artist's conception.
Above enclosures being forwarded to Seattle for whatever action that office deems advisable in this matter.
ARMED AND DANGEROUS.
