SUB 647
Re memo of SA 3/26/75
On 4/28/75 CLARE MURRAY, Chief Probation officer, Cowlitz County, Adult Parole advised that he recalls the subject as man
he had under supervision and stated that he feels, from what he has seen of a composite photograph of the NORJAK subject that THORALSEN does bear a resemblance. Moreover he stated that the records of THORALDSON have been sent to his Central office located in the Capitol Center Building, Olympia, Washington. Perhaps the records at the Central office would reflect the subject's location at time of NORJAK incident. He stated his only reference to the subject is that he was paroled to Cowlitz County, Washington in May, 1971 and he absconded in April, 1972 and was eventually located in the state of Indiana, returned to Washington by the Cowlitz County SO and wasviolated. When he left this area he came back about two months later and took his wife to Pocatello, Idaho and then deserted her in that city. She now lives in Portland, Oregon and MURRAY recalled was torking at Tektronics in thatcity when he last heard about her.
MURRAY did recall that when the subject was paroled he did secure a job at the Mazda garage in Longview, Washington as a mechanic but quit suddenly and started living with a girl he met in Portland and lived at in Castle Rock, Washington. As MURRAY recalled he was then buying cars wholesale S[illegible] & [illegible] in Portland but was issuing fraudulent checks and this cause him problems. /6 Y-8/-6536
MURRAY al so stated there was a picture of THORALDSON in the file at Central Headquarters and as he recalls he had light brown hair which was receding on the temples, blue eyes and a fair compl xion. Further information may be s[illegible] for that file. AT OLYMPIA, WASHINGTON Cause review of file of subject at Probation and Parole, Capitol Center Building, Olympia to determine whether his location at time of NORJAK can be determined and whether information therein re his being in drop zone of NORJAK.
