Enclosed for Seattle is one newspaper photograph of IRA L. GRISTE from the "Commercial Appeal" at Memphis, Tennessee, exact date unknown.

[REDACTED] Shelby County Sheriff's Office, advised on 1/31/73 that in reading the FBI Law En- forcement Bulletin for December, 1972, with the artist's conception sketch of UNSUB in this case, he immediately felt that this individual looked like someone he knew or has met in the past. He stated he exhibited the drawing to his wife, and then came to the conclusion that the sketch was the likeness of one IRA L. GRISTE, whom he described as a white male, and whose descrip- tion perfectly fits that of the UNSUB. He stated the only exception in the description is that of his speech, in that GRISTE is a slow talker with a definite Southern drawl. He also stated GRISTE may wear dentures.

---

[REDACTED] stated that as of 5/1/71, when GRISTE was a complainant in a matter to the Shelby County /Sheriff's Office, he was residing at 5230 Raleigh LaGrange Road, Memphis. He stated his home is off the road beside the railroad tracks, and either beside or across the road from the Cedar Grove Dairy.

---

[REDACTED] stated he has not seen GRISTE for 5-6 years and also feels that GRISTE's wife turned in a missing person report for him a year or so ago. He stated, however, that he checked the logs and could not find a record of such a report. He stated GRISTE is an expert woodsman, and all he has ever done in his life is hunt and fish, and is an accomplished taxidermist. He [cut off]
