SUBJECT: NORJAK OO: SEATTLE BUfile 164-2111

RE: FRANKLIN JOHN PAINTER, aka Nick Lewis; SUB 766

Re Denver airtel to Seattle, dated 3/24/76.

All investigation in this matter has been completed and there has been no positive results to indicate that PAINTER should be considered a suspect in this matter.

It is noted photographs of PAINTER have been obtained and they do not bear a resemblance to the artist's composite.

In addition, it is noted PAINTER was 35 at the time of NORJAK and his weight is normally listed at 160 pounds. Finally, PAINTER has definite widow's peaks and if he lets his hair grow long, it becomes curly. In view of the obvious discrepancies, as well as any positive information that might indicate he is connected with this crime, as well as the fact that all logical leads have been conducted concerning PAINTER, no further investigation will be conducted concerning him at this time.

ARMED AND DANGEROUS.
