KNACK stated that WALLER has worked as Manager at the South Store at Diamond Lake Resort for a least the past three years from May through approximately Labor Day and spends the rest of the year in Mexico at an unknown location. Deputy KNACK then telephonically contacted JOHN KOCH, owner, Diamond Lake Lodge and Resort and was advised by KOCH that RICHARD LEE WALLER, Social Security No. 541-34-5171, and [REDACTED - b6/b7c] have a permanent address of [REDACTED - b6/b7c] in Grants Pass, Oregon, however, are believed to be in Mexico, at this time.

Deputy KNACH stated that he further recalls that neither WALLER nor [REDACTED - b6/b7c] seem to have any financial problems as he recalls that they drive a motor home of some sort.

Deputy KNACK and [REDACTED - b6/b7c] Records, Roseburg, Oregon Police Department, stated that the files of their respective agencies disclose no references identifiable with RICHARD LEE WALLER.

The following investigation was conducted by LEROY R. ELLIOTT:

Mrs. JOHN KOCH, Co-proprietor of Diamond Lake Lodge, who resides at Bridge Route, Myrtle Point, Oregon, on 12/10/75, viewed the composite drawing of D. B. COOPER and stated there is a strong resemblance to RICHARD LEE WALLER, who they hire to operate the South Store at Diamond Lake during the summer months.

In addition, [REDACTED - b6/b7c] also viewed the composite drawing and stated they could not eliminate WALLER on basis of the drawing.

Mr. JOHN KOCH was not available as he had returned to Diamond Lake.
