[redacted] was advised the president of Northwest Orient Airlines had previously offered a finder's fee of $25,000 total reward or 15% of any portion of the recovered ransom money. He was also advised that "The Seattle Post-Intelligencer" newspaper had offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the UNSUB.

---

[redacted] indicated he would forward the information furnished to him to [redacted] by mail. He stated he anticipated a reply from [redacted] during the week of July 19, 1976, as to whether the artist's composite drawing of the UNSUB resembles the person whom [redacted] thinks could have committed the hijacking. [redacted] requested that the information relating to the reward be updated so that he would be able to furnish this information to [redacted] in the event [redacted] indicates he believes the artist's composite drawing does, in fact, resemble the person [redacted] believes could have committed the crime.

SEATTLE

AT SEATTLE, WASH.

Immediately advise Atlanta of any reward now being offered in this case. If the $25,000 reward previously offered by Northwest Airlines is still being offered advise if this reward is a fixed reward and, therefore, has no contingencies. Specifically, determine if this reward is contingent upon the recovery of any ransomed money. It is assumed this reward would certainly be contingent upon the arrest and conviction of the hijacker as is the reward offered by the "Seattle Post-Intelligencer".

Also advise if the $5,000 reward previously offered by "The Seattle Post-Intelligencer" newspaper is still in effect.

In addition, advise of any other rewards being offered in this matter.
