RE: BILLY JEWEL SPARKS SUB NUMBER 845

Re Anchorage letter to Seattle, dated December 21, 1976.

Attempts to verify whether SPARKS has had parachute training in the military have proved negative due to the fact that SPARKS' military record has been destroyed by fire. In- asmuch as SPARKS fits the general description of UNSUB in this matter, the following lead is set forth:

---

LEADS:

ANCHORAGE DIVISION

At Fairbanks, Alaska

Will interview BILLY JEWEL SPARKS and determine from him his reaction to being interviewed as a suspect in this matter. SPARKS' whereabouts on 11/24/71, should be obtained if possible, as well as statements from him con- cerning his availability for a polygraph examination.
