Re Seattle memo of SC FRANCIS E. ENTLER, dated 4/7/76.
On 5/6/76, Mrs. ERMA COOPER, 806½ West First Street, Aberdeen, Washington, advised that she suspected [redacted] as possibly being identical with D. B. COOPER. She identified this individual as GLENN DELBERT BURKE, however, she noted that BURKE had on several occasions used the last name COOPER. She then displayed a photograph of BURKE taken in 1969, which depicted BURKE as having a very receding hairline, however, Mrs. COOPER claimed the photograph was not a good representation of BURKE and she felt that he had more hair than depicted. She described BURKE as a white male American, age 43 or 44, 5'8" tall, 160 pounds, dark brown hair, brown eyes.
Mrs. COOPER stated the reason she suspected BURKE as possibly being identical with D. B. COOPER were the following:
He had told her that he was an ex-paratrooper; he had used the name DELBERT COOPER in the past and since his true last name was BURKE, she felt he could easily have used the name DELBERT BURKE COOPER. She also noted that she has had no contact with BURKE since 1970 and prior to that time they had been good friends. She knew of no reason why he would be avoiding her and felt the fact that he had not visited her since that time was suspicious. She also noted that she had mentioned the possibility of BURKE as being COOPER to [redacted] and he had acknowledged this possibility.
She stated that he was last known to be residing in Enumclaw, Washington, and she believed he had married a [redacted] (LNU) who had come from [redacted], Washington.
