Having met with [REDACTED] in the [b6][b7C] Green Mountain area, southwest of Ariel, Washington, I was dir- ected by [REDACTED] to an area about [REDACTED] in a heavily wooded area. He pointed out a pair of tattered pants hanging from a small bush and stated these were the pants he had located about October 22 or 23, 1976, when he was hunting deer in the area.
The pants were identified and placed in a small plastic bag. The immediate area was walked over and examined but nothing was observed except for the debri of the forests. Nothing was seen that would indicate anyone had been in the area as there was no sign of any material in the area.
The sight was marked for future search and the pants were taken to the Portland office of the FBI where they were prepared for shipment to the FBI Laboratory, Washington, D.C.
