On 12/7/76, TERUO MORIGAKI, Inspector, Hawaii County Police Department, Hilo, Hawaii, advised he received a telephone call from his sister, JUNE RATIGAN, 5537 Viscount Carlson Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada, telephone 736-6349, and she provided the following information:

RATIGAN stated that she had been in touch with a [redacted] in Las Vegas, telephone [redacted] and that [redacted] provided her with information concerning D. B. COOPER. According to [redacted], COOPER traveled to Hawaii after receiving the $200,000 and subsequently died in Honolulu on 6/19/76 under the name of BRYANT COFFELT.

Investigation conducted at Bureau of Vital Statistics, Honolulu, Hawaii, indicates that a BRYANT COFFELT died at Queen's Hospital on 6/19/76 due to cardiorespiratory arrest and was subsequently buried at Mililani Memorial Park. Additional information developed concerning COFFELT indicates that he was born in Missouri and had never married. COFFELT's next of kin notified at time of his death was TAVE COFFELT, a cousin, 2463 Kuhio Avenue, Apartment 1105, Honolulu. COFFELT's age at time of death listed as 59 years.
