Re Seattle airtel to Little Rock, dated 4/14/77.
WILLIAM "BILL" ABERNATHY is a former Pope County Sheriff. He is presently a purchaser of industrial pulpwood at Russellville, Arkansas, and he maintains P. O. Box 127.
Attempts were made to contact WILLIAM "BILL" ABERNATHY at Russellville, Arkansas, on April 29, 1977, May 2, 1977, and May 11, 1977, but he was unavailable.
WILLIAM "BILL" ABERNATHY interviewed by SA [redacted] on May 27, 1977, advised as follows:
He has no information to furnish personally relative to captioned airline hijacking. About two months ago an individual came to him and asked him if there was still a reward being offered for information concerning the hijacking. The individual said he had positive information concerning the hijacking but did not want his name revealed unless there was a reward being offered. He informed the individual that he would check and determine if there was a reward still being offered.
