Re: SUSPECT - [REDACTED]

[REDACTED] became a suspect on the basis of information furnished by the Mercer Island Branch of the Seattle-First National Bank, due to the fact that [REDACTED] is in the [REDACTED] [REDACTED] and had made application for a [REDACTED] loan prior to the hijacking, and although the loan was turned down about a week after NORJAK, [REDACTED] seemed to be quite unconcerned, although the lack of money would be quite injurious to his business. Further [REDACTED] is a pilot and because of [REDACTED] is familiar with the terrain in the State of Washington.

On 1/17/72, pictures which had been made a few days prior while [REDACTED] was in the Mercer Island Branch of the above bank, were made available to the Seattle Office of the FBI.
