[REDACTED] Fort Lewis, called. He said he
would be working with SAC MILNES and Mr. MANNING the rest of
the week and he is going down to the scene tomorrow.
He simply wanted to let Mr. MILNES know that they
had received some guidance from the Public Affairs Officers
of the Army as to how to answer press inquiries. Then he read
the same 3 questions and answers which we had already received
last week from Asst. Director BATES. I told the [REDACTED] that
I thought Mr. MILNES was already generally aware of this policy
as having come from Army headquarters through our headquarters
but that when Mr. MILNES called in I would tell him.
