Mr. Richard G. Kleindienst U. S. Attorney General
Sir:
I wrote you May 8th regarding skyjacking of Northwest 727 on the run from Portland to Seattle the eve of Thanksgiving last.
Today a Kansas City F.B.I. agent called me out (to early for you to have acted) I gave the agent the mans name, and other details, after he identified his self. I feel I should give you the facts too after the letter I wrote you.
I have a crime pardner named [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Whenever we registed anywhere [REDACTED] gave the name D. B. Cooper. In 1967 he approached me with the idea of skyjacking a 727 and him jumping out after the 200,000 was delivered to me.
When this skyjacking took place with the same name being used I was convinced my pardner was free and had done it. After [REDACTED] checked with the Waden and I found my pardner was still there I looked for any close friend he might have told the plan to.
The FBI composit drawing looked like my pardner and I was stumped. Last week I bought a June Stag Magazine and begining on page 18 was all I needed to figure it out. It is my pardners [REDACTED] who is [REDACTED] No arrest record. Has been in business for himself (that I know of) since 1955. Married twice, nice home and in 1967 owned a [REDACTED] Washington. Always drives a Cadilac and Bowls in the money every year. Like everyone he seemed to always be short a few thousand dollars every so often
