[REDACTED] Asotin, Washington, recently telephonically contacted FBI Headquarters and advised that on the early morning of [REDACTED] he was visiting the Diamond K Bar in Asotin when he was approached by an individual who identified himself as D. B. Cooper. This individual was in the company of a blond white woman who apparently was known by the bartender of that bar. He said this individual bore a good likeness to the unknown subject of this case whose photograph he had seen in the Post Office.
Shortly after he left this bar he observed a Mercury or Lincoln convertible bearing Idaho license [REDACTED] which he considered suspicious. He, however, did not see the individual who identified himself as D. B. Cooper in or near this automobile.
[REDACTED] provided the above information confidentially and did not wish his name connected with any investigation that may be conducted and further declined to furnish his address or telephone number.
